YES, people, DANIELLE WON!!!!!!!!! can you believe it? well, it should have been obvious. but we'll get into that later. for now, let's chat about the episode. of course, the finale always includes a covergirl commercial, a covergirl beauty shot and a fashion show.
first up, the commercial....lawd help. they all struggle with their lines and jade's fuggy ass needed cue cards cuz she was just a hot M-E-S-S!!!!!! she was bobbing her head like a chicken and her hair look a fright!
next up, the beauty shots............
danielle's is definitely the prettiest, but i think it is waaaaaaaaaaay too airbrushed. it almost doesn't look like her...but it's still FABULOUS!!!!
jade-BOO! HATE the slick-back...she looks all of 26, maybe even 36 years old and very sneaky....BLEH!!!
IG'NANCE OF THE DAY:: "my look is just in a different realm...people just can't handle it"-jade-ARGH!! girl, i'm sooooooooo glad you got sent home first! i guess the rest of the nation will just have to live without you as a winner cuz we can't hadle how great you are....we suck
joanie-i agree with miss jay that this pic is very tight in the mouth area. she kinda looks like uma thurman to me in this. it's ok, but nothing exceptional.
so miss jade was sent home first (THANK YOU!), leaving the walk-off between joanie and danielle
NEXT UP...the fashion show. it was on a river with a VERY elaborate runway that seemed to span at least a mile. the runway was covered with slippery flower petals and the clothes were very exotic!!! LOVED IT!!! let me say, joanie bored the pants off of me with her first walk. she was constantly looking down, her face was oh-so-blahzay and she was "walking like she was in the mall" according to nigel barker, one of the judges. miss danielle came out with the FIYAH!!!!!!! she was stomping and winking, prancing and she even slipped-but kept her composure.
on the second walk, joanie stepped it up, but it was too little, too late. i was very unimpressed with her. onto the judging.........
now as we know, tyra and the judges have been on danielle about her country accent and people thought she wouldn't win because of it. but let's compare...danielle started out fierce and remained consistent the WHOLE TIME!! joanie was good, bad, boring, ok, great, hmmmmm...it was like a rollercoaster. not to mention, she was extremely boring to look at in person. she wasn't adjusting well to her new shiny teeth..she just couldn't shake that wallflower personality. so, in retrospect, danielle only had one issue and joanie had a couple. all danielle has to do is hire a speech coach and that's why she WON!!!!!!!!!
i am sooooooooooo glad tyra chose a real, down-home brown skinned black girl to hold the title. nothing against eva and naima, but danielle is what's up!!!!!!!
CONGRATS!!!!! let's hope she gets busy and has a great, long successful career!!!!!!!!!

I watched the runway and the judging because my east coast broke the news that Danielle had won before the west coast airing. Woo hoo! Shoulda been Danielle or Nnenna from the start. A brownskin black woman has finally done it. I predict a blonde will win next go 'round.
Let's get this out of the way, what was going on with yo' cousin Switch Jay? Explain why he was propped on his seat looking and behaving like a princess during the runway show?
Speaking of runway shows, was that not the worst one they (ANTM) have ever had? The whole vibe bored me.
Answer this: after the runway show, Tyra said she had tears in her eyes because...? I was distracted momentarily.
I thought both looked great during judging. It's the best either had ever looked in my opinion.
Brava to Danielle for making a final plea before the judges deliberation. I hate when I walk way thinking I should told so & so "this" instead of holding my tongue.

How tall or short is Joanie? I hadn't noticed the extreme height difference between Joanie and Danielle until last night.
Thus concludes the worst installment of ANTM. I'm having my doubts about watching next season's 2 offerings. There needs to be some improvements. Twiggy needs to be sent back to the UK. Mr Jay needs a demotion. The divo attitude has really gotten out of control. He doesn't even try to hide it anymore. Switch Jay has never been a favorite of mine. Let's dial him back a bit. The antics are too much. The way Nigel leers at all the women I am wondering why there hasn't been a behind the scenes ANTM scandal involving him. He can take a hike too. I know it's not possible but I wish they'd return to filming in NY.
What improvements would you like to see?
So you and my mama and my best friend sucked me in for the last episode of ANTM. Partially because I coulnd't watch Alias with the kiddies around and the AI results show wasn't on until 8. First I would like to say, I was bored by the fashion show, I liked the setting, but I didn't like that it was in the day light. I think it would have looked so much more fierce if they had done it at night with mega lights on the runway over that water. See they need to hire me for production on that show. I could use my Broadcasting degree yet! Anywho, I don't watch the show and in te first 2 minutes Jade was working my nerves I was glad she got sent home first.
Another note, I like Tyra's look during that first judging, I am not a big fan of hers, but that look was good for her.
Happy Danielle won, that other chick, Joanie, was boring!
shawn-TRIPLE WOOT for a brownie (finally) getting the title!!!!! and PUH-LEASE do not even get me in the mix with miss jay...he was looking a queenly fool in that get-up...the nails, the tiara...and the thai folks were cracking up laughing at him. i bet even tyra was embarrassed. that was just too over the top, even for him.
about the show...it stunk because the runway was waaaaaaaay too long, it was the middle of the day, no lights, no music-NOTHING! naima and kalen's faceoff was definitely the best IMO!
now, i thought i was the only one who noticed how much of a salamander nigel was-LOL! twiggy is like friggin carol brady and can pack her bags with her dull-as-a-box-of-rocks personality. they MUST keep miss jay since there's no janice type-someone has to have some umph....but nole (and miss minnie) can replace nigel.
as far as the competition, i need to see some real hungry girls. there were to many plain janes up in this one. i want some different, exotic, quirky, hungry chicks to duke it out!!!! no more church girls and mall-walkers with ZERO personality...i need action!!!
L-stop frontin, you know you were pumped to see the finale!!! but couldn't you just have slapped that scathe of a girl jade? UGH! ditto to everything about the show....could have been better!
So glad Danielle won...I so wish that Jade had been sent home ALOT sooner.

shawn-aw, i love that dog, she is so cute! now you know i love the aminals (yes, i spell it aminals), especially if they wear clothes! you know she was cute up there on her little pillow with those cutesy hats and dresses-LOVES IT!! long as he doesn't bring her to the dinner table, i'm cool! when i had a dog, i dragged his bad azz around everywhere and he wasn't even little (cocker spaniel)...then he became schizophrenic and i had to stop. those were the days!!!

BEAYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTIFUL!yeah, they picked that accent to dog on at the last minute so you "wouldn't KNOW" she was gonna win. i was scared for a minute tho when they had her in the bottom two. i woke up out my sleep to watch that show tho. for real. not a game. i was willing to sacrifice my sanity. i'm so glad i did. i needed to see that. i would've been hurt if i didn't. don't doubt i will be watching it again on tuesday!! and i'm so w/shawn!!! i was like voice lessons?? tyra what the hell are you talking about!!! yo. you HAVE to read my blog on myspace a. i was ready to cut tyra. for real. it was almost a wrap for her ass. now i've just cut her off. she got big props for this show "cycle" 1. i will watch forever, but she lost some hellafied points. chile!!!! and you know what else? toward the end of the interviews, last episodes, her accent was much less pronounced. i was like, she won. she had to. she got some lessons and she won. yesssss!! ok you think i need to go calm down?

ladynay-honey, besides eva and yaya (2nd place to eva), i don't see these chicks anywhere except for people who DIG UP where they are now. if i didn't watch the specials and the tyra banks show, i would NEVER see naima, modeling that is. and that last one-nicole-AHHHHHH!!! again, if i didn't watch ANTM and see "my life as a covergirl" commercials, she would be just as obscure as the rest. BOO! to them and i hope danielle takes this win and shoves it in all those loser's faces making oodles of money and getting lots of publicity...she deserves it!!!
